Hadrian, 117-138. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 33 mm, 27.20 g, 12 h), Rome, circa 129-130. HADRIANVS AVGVSTVS Bare-headed and draped bust of Hadrian to right, seen from behind. Rev. IVSTITIA AVG•P•P• / S - C / COS III Justitia seated to left on throne, holding patera in her right hand and scepter in her left. BMC -. Cohen -. RIC -, cf. 1159 (bust cuirassed). Apparently unpublished save for its previous auction appearance. An attractive example with a lovely green patina and beautiful portrait. Minor deposits, otherwise, very fine.
